Community Improvement Forum, Nepal (CIF-Nepal), District ICS Network Coordinator, organized “Bio-Briquette Production Training to Local ICS Promoters” in Kabhrepalanchok district. The five-day event was conducted from 11-15 September 2008 and was supported by Asia Regional Cookstove Program (ARECOP), National ICS Network/Centre for Rural Technology, Nepal (CRT/N). The training was targeted to ten local ICS promoters for providing the practical skills on briquetting technology by use of waste biomass. Mr. Gyanendra Raj Sharma, Coordinator of Rural Engineering and Technology Extension Service Division (RETESD), CRT/N was the lead trainer of the training and was assisted by Mr. Bidesh Shrestha of CIF-Nepal.
