Recently, a new District ICS Network has been established in Makawanpur district in central Nepal. With this development, a total of 10 ICS Network coordinators now exist in 9 districts. Future Nepal, a local NGO, has joined the Network as coordinating organization in Makawanpur district. Future Nepal was established in 2002 with an objective to raise livelihood of people especially rural women and children to contribute in improving their health. Future Nepal has been involved in promotion of ICS and awareness creation on health related issues as well as other community development activities.
