
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Kathmandu
University and Centre for Rural Technology, Nepal (CRT/N) on June 2,
2005 at CRT/N library. MoU was signed by Prof. Dinesh Chapagain, Dean,
School of Engineering, KU and Dr. Bhola Thapa, Associate Dean, School
of Engineering, KU, and Mr. Ganesh Ram Shrestha, Executive Director,
CRT/N & Mr. Krishna Hari Maharjan, Program Development and
Monitoring Advisor Officer, CRT/N, on behalf of their respective
organizations. The main objective of the agreement is to work
collaboratively for the promotion and development of rural appropriate
technologies and professionals dedicated to the upliftment of the rural
communities of Nepal.
Prof. Suresh Raj Sharma, Vice-chancellor, KU and senior
environmentalist Mr. Huta ram Vaidya graced the event with their
presence and insightful messages and advices.
