Improved Cook Stoves in Nepal

The Inventory of Improved Cooking Stove Activities in Nepal, which was first prepared in July 1999 with the support of ESAP/AEPC, contains basic information regarding ICS programs of the member organizations and its outcomes. This served as a database of information on ICS. CRT/N has taken an initiative to update it  after the initiation of ARECOP supported "Action Program for Strengthening ICS Networks in Nepal". As a result, the updated inventory has been prepared and published on September 2001.

The inventory contains information regarding ICS activities of the member organizations such as: ongoing program activities, project area, types and number of ICS installed, implementing strategies, impacts/effects, problems identified, lesson learnt, future ICS programs, training on ICS and so on. Likewise  ICS network has also prepared the ICS District Profile in August 2003.The profiles consists of 10 districts and  provides a glimpses of ICS activities undertaken as well as ongoing and future ICS activities of various district level NGOs/CBOs.
